Open your contacts
In the side menu choose Customers & suppliers (1), then press New contact (2). This screen holds everyone you sell to and buy from, and the Customers and Suppliers buttons show each group on its own.
Fill in the basics
Choose the Kind: Customer, or Customer & supplier if you both sell to them and buy from them. The only required field is the Arabic name. Leave Code empty and one is generated for you.
- Payment terms: how many days they have to pay. When you pick the customer on an invoice, the due date is worked out from this. 0 means cash.
- Email and Mobile: where invoices and statements are sent.
- Document and correspondence language: the language their documents go out in, if it differs from your business language.
Add the VAT number and national address
If the customer is a VAT-registered business, enter the VAT number (2 in the picture above): 15 digits, starting and ending with 3. Then complete the National address (3): Street, Building no. (4 digits), District, City and Postal code (5 digits).
A tax invoice carries the buyer's address. If it is incomplete, a message asks you to finish it on the customer card when the invoice goes to ZATCA, so complete it now.
Save the card
Press Save. The customer appears in the list with an automatic code, next to Customer statement and Edit. Customers are not deleted. To hide one you no longer deal with, open Edit and untick Active. Their documents stay as they are.
Writing an invoice and the customer is not there yet? Type the name in the customer field and choose New customer from the list to create them without leaving the invoice.
