Start typing the customer name (1) and pick them from the list. The Invoice type (2) follows on its own: a customer with a VAT number gets Tax invoice (business), and one without gets Simplified invoice (individual). The Due date comes from the payment terms on the customer card.
New customer? Type the name in the same field and choose New customer to create them without leaving the invoice.
In the Item column search for the product or service, and the description, price and tax fill in. Then set the quantity. A new line appears each time you pick an item. You can also type a description and price straight into a line with no item.

Issue the invoice
Check the total, then press Issue (3 in the picture above). If you are not ready, press Save draft: a draft has no number and no journal. On issue the invoice takes its number and QR code and its journal is posted. If the item is stocked, the quantity leaves stock and its cost is posted too.

An issued invoice cannot be edited or deleted. Any correction is made with a credit note, so check the customer and amounts before you press Issue.

Check the result
You land on the invoice page with its number and the status Issued. From here you record money with Record payment (1), correct it with Credit note (2), and send it to the customer.
If a message appears instead, it is usually one of these:
A tax invoice needs a customer with a VAT number: add the number on the customer card, or change the type to simplified.
The period is closed: change the invoice date or reopen the period.
Either way the draft is kept, so correct it and try again without creating a second invoice.
