About Basmtak Books
Who we are, what we built, and how we treat the parts that are not finished.
What it is
Basmtak Books is accounting software for Saudi businesses: a Saudi chart of accounts, double entry, e-invoicing, purchases, banking, inventory and assemblies, fixed assets, cost centres, multi-currency, and reports in Arabic and English.
Why we built it
Because the thing that wastes most of a Saudi accountant's time is not the accounting — it is retyping what is already written in another system, and payroll most of all. Basmtak HR already knew the payroll, the branches and the departments, and there was no bridge from there into the ledger. That bridge is where this product started.

How we treat what is unfinished
We write down what is actually built, and we say plainly what has not been proven in the real world yet. When we say something is "built but not certified", we mean it literally.
