What is Basmtak Books, and who is it for?

Arabic-first cloud accounting software for businesses in Saudi Arabia — from a single shop or practitioner to a group of companies — and for accounting firms that keep many clients' books. It covers invoicing, e-invoicing integrated with ZATCA's Fatoora platform, the VAT return, purchases, bank reconciliation, inventory and reports, in Arabic and English.

How much does Basmtak Books cost?

Plans start at 79 SAR a month per business on annual billing, before 15% VAT; monthly billing costs a little more. E-invoicing and the VAT return are in every plan, and you can try the full Pro plan for 14 days with no card.

Which devices does it run on, and does it work offline?

It runs in the browser on any computer, Windows or Mac, and in the Basmtak Books app for iPhone and iPad; there is no Android app. It is a cloud service, so it needs an internet connection. A shop counter that must keep selling when the connection drops can use Basmtak Cashier, which sells offline and posts every shift to your books.

Do I need an accountant to use Basmtak Books?

No. A shop owner issues invoices, follows the bank and files the VAT return without ever seeing a journal — the entries post themselves behind the screen as balanced double entry. And if you do have an accountant, they get the full general ledger, manual journals and trial balance.

Is e-invoicing included?

In every plan, no exception. Phase 1 works from your first invoice, and phase 2 — the Fatoora link, signing, clearance and reporting — is built inside the product itself, with no third-party unit.

Where is my data hosted?

In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on Oracle Cloud in Jeddah, with full isolation between establishments and an audit log of every change. We handle your data in line with the Personal Data Protection Law.

How do I move from my current software?

The migration wizard reads your current software: a live pull where the source offers an API, and by file from the rest, Excel included. It suggests the mapping, shows a preview before anything is written, and applies in one transaction you can undo.

Is there a mobile app?

Yes — Basmtak Books for iPhone and iPad. It reads and writes the same books: invoices, vouchers, expenses from the camera and reports, and you sign in by scanning a QR from the web, then with Face ID.

What happens after the free trial?
