Where to see the status
- All invoices together: open E-invoicing under Setup. Counters sit at the top, with the Submitted documents list below and filter buttons by status (ringed in the picture).
- One invoice: open it and find the ZATCA card beside it.
- The dashboard: the item Invoices not yet accepted by ZATCA appears when invoices need your attention.
What each status means
- Cleared: ZATCA cleared the tax invoice and it can reach the customer. Nothing for you to do.
- Reported: the simplified invoice reached ZATCA and was accepted. Nothing for you to do.
- Pending: an issued invoice that has not finished its trip to ZATCA yet.
- Send failed: the connection to ZATCA did not complete. Books tries again by itself.
- Rejected: ZATCA read the document and refused it. This one needs you.

An invoice that stays pending
Open the invoice and press Send to ZATCA on the ZATCA card. If something is in the way, a message explains it. The usual causes:
- Your company's national address is incomplete: a red message on the E-invoicing screen names the missing fields.
- The customer's national address was incomplete when a tax invoice was issued.
- A note with no reason: the card This note has no reason for issuance appears on the note, and you add the reason there.
- The certificate has expired: renew it.
Opening balances carried over from your previous system are not sent to ZATCA and do not count in these numbers.
Keep what was filed
Every document has an XML link to download the file as it was sent to ZATCA. A rejected attempt is not deleted once corrected: it stays on the list with an Archived chip.
