Move a quantity from one warehouse to another. Both balances change, and your total stock value stays the same.

This feature comes with certain plans. If it is not in your menu, it is not in your business's plan.

Open the transfer

In the side menu choose Inventory and press Transfer between warehouses, button 1 in the picture. You need at least two warehouses.
Open the transfer

Pick the item and quantity

Find the item in the Products & services field. Pick the warehouse the goods leave in From and the one they arrive at in To. Type the Qty and the Date, then press Save.
Each transfer is for one item, so repeat it for each item you move. Items that are not stocked do not appear in the search.

What happens after saving

The quantity leaves one warehouse and enters the other at the same cost, and lot numbers and expiry dates stay with the goods. No journal is posted, because the goods remain in the same inventory account and their total value does not change. You will find both movements in Movements and on the item card, with the source Transfer.

If stock is short or you made a mistake

Available stock is what is on hand less what sales orders hold. If issuing more than is on hand is blocked, you get a Not enough stock message. If it is allowed, the transfer goes through and the sending warehouse goes negative.
A saved transfer has no undo button. To correct it, make a transfer the other way for the same quantity.
