This feature comes with certain plans. If it is not in your menu, it is not in your business's plan.
Read your stock value
Open Inventory from the side menu. The On hand tab shows the Stock value from the movements, the Ledger balance in your accounts (1) and the Difference between them (2). Healthy books say Ties to the ledger. You can look back to an earlier date with As of.
If a difference shows
If you see Does not tie!, these are common causes:
- One warehouse is picked in the filter: the ledger balance is for the whole business, so compare on All warehouses.
- A build is In progress: the gap closes when you press Complete.
- A manual journal on the inventory account: it changed the books with no stock movement.
In the balances table, Reserved shows what sales orders hold and Available shows what you can really sell.
Open the item card
Press any item in the table. The card shows the quantity, Unit cost and value, By warehouse when the item sits in more than one, then every movement with its source, document and the running Balance. Press a movement to open its journal, if it has one.
Search all movements
The Movements tab lists everything in and out for all items. Search by item name, SKU or document number, and filter by date, Warehouse or Source, such as Invoice, Transfer or Count.
