Where to find it
The Let's set up your books card sits at the top of the Dashboard, with a ring showing how many of the eight steps are done. Your next step has a green frame. Press any step to go to its screen.
The eight steps
The first three are essential, and the rest carry an optional tag:
- Company details
- Chart of accounts
- Tax rates
- Bank accounts
- Opening balances
- Customers and suppliers
- Products and services
- Your first invoice
How a step gets ticked
There is no button to press. The program reads your books: add a bank account from any screen and the step ticks, issue an invoice and Your first invoice ticks. A draft is not enough, the invoice must be issued.
A tick does not mean everything is complete. Company details ticks with one number, VAT or CR. Opening balances ticks as soon as any entry exists in the books, even an invoice's. Check for yourself that your balances went in.
Hiding the checklist
When all eight steps are done the card disappears by itself. To hide it sooner press Hide. Hiding applies to the whole business and no button brings it back, so finish the essential steps first.
