The account statement: the detail behind any figure

Every movement on one account with a running balance. This is where you find out where any figure came from.

Choose the account and range

Open Reports, then Account statement. Type the Account code or name and pick it, set From and To and press Run. The quickest way is from another report: press an account in the trial balance, income statement or balance sheet, or Statement in the chart of accounts.
Choose the account and range

Read the statement

At the top are Opening and Closing. Below them is every movement with its date, journal number and memo, Debit and Credit, and the Balance after it.

Press any movement to open its journal and see the document behind it.

Check and export

Use a bank account's statement to compare with the real bank statement, and any expense statement to check every movement belongs there. If you find a mistake, correct its document or reverse the manual journal.

Export with Export CSV and Export XLSX, and print with Print. For one customer or supplier, use their own statement report.
