Understand where a card payment goes

When a customer pays by card the money does not reach the bank at once. The processor holds it for days, then transfers a batch net of its fee. That is why the payment is booked to Online payments in transit, and the Card payouts page is what empties that account when the transfer arrives.

Connect your processor

Open Card payouts from the side menu (1). If you see No payment processor connected, press Open settings (2), connect your account under Online payments, and come back to this page. Connecting is done by the account owner.
What can be fetched depends on the processor. Moyasar: payouts come with their detail and post from here. Tap: payouts come without the charges inside them. HyperPay and PayTabs: nothing is fetched. For Tap, HyperPay and PayTabs, match the transfer by hand on the bank statement against the clearing account.

Check what the processor is holding

Held by the processor lists every charge booked whose transfer has not arrived, oldest first. Waiting for transfer should equal Clearing account balance. If not, a Difference shows, usually from a manual journal on that account. If an amount waits longer than Count as late after, ask the processor about it.

Fetch the payouts and post them

Under Payouts received choose the period and press Fetch payouts. Fetching changes nothing in your books. Press Detail on a payout to see What posting will record, choose the Receiving bank account and Journal date, then press Post the payout. Repeating it never produces a second journal. You can then match the bank line to this entry.

If posting is refused

If the figures do not agree you will see This payout cannot be posted with the Difference, which is the number to take to the processor. No journal is posted with an unexplained difference. If Charges the books do not know appears, money went through the processor account without being recorded here. Choose an Account for the unknown charges and post, or ask about them first.
