Know what a business means here

Each business has its own chart, numbering, periods and reports, and its figures never cross with another's. Add one for another company, or a branch or activity you want on separate books. If you only want to track branches inside one set of books, use cost centres.

Press Add a business

Under Setup open Businesses & people, and on the Businesses tab press Add a business. This needs the business owner or someone holding all six permissions, and an active subscription.
Billing follows the one account, and the number of businesses is part of your subscription.
Press Add a business

Fill in the details and choose a start

Enter the Business name, the only required field, then the numbers, currency and fiscal year start. Under How should its books start? choose:
  • Saudi template: a ready chart of accounts with the VAT rates.
  • Copy an existing business: the same chart, taxes and units, with no transactions.
  • Start empty: nothing, for your accountant to build.
Then press Save.

Move between your businesses

With more than one business, a business menu appears at the top of the screen. Pick the one to open, or press Open on its card. Manage businesses takes you back to this screen. Staff do not enter the new business automatically, so add them from the People tab.

If it stops trading

An added business with no entries can be deleted with the ×. Once it has entries it cannot be deleted, so press Archive: it becomes read-only, with its books and reports still available, and Reopen brings it back. The main business cannot be deleted or archived.
